The DILF, DELF, and DALF which are a set of official French proficiency tests fully accredited by the French Government and recognised the world over.

Each of these certificates assesses the four language proficiencies (reading, writing, listening, and speaking). There is no score; candidates can start at whatever higher level they qualify for.

The TEF (Test d’évaluation de français), which is a test that assesses the fluency of non-native speakers. There is no pass or fail mark. The exam provides for a certificate that determines your level (A1-C2) and is valid for one year. It is recognised by employers, educational institutions such as the French-speaking universities (it translates into college credits) and by the Canadian government.
